About Us
The Owners the Langstons.

We are the Langstons and our bookstore adventure began in the summer of 2016. At the time, we loved shopping with our daughters at The Village Book Exchange and learned that the owner was no longer able to live in town nor continue with the daily operations of the business. The uncertainty of the bookstore's future prodded Scott, our daughters and me to step in to keep our favorite bookstore in town. We renamed it Beach Town Books and began the perpetual process of refinement, growth, creativity, friendship, sacrifice, satisfaction and LOVE! Our favorite part of the experience has been feeling the love of the community and working with our team that has been so committed, hard-working and heart-centered. These experiences are what keeps us going and keeps our customers coming back. 

Unique Store Features

  • Find your authors and titles easily with our color-coded labeling system! Every genre has its own colored label with the first three letters of the author's last name, so you can easily find your way.

  • Bring your kids for a memorable, sea-themed scavenger hunt.  We have a robust selection of children's books, and kids of all ages enjoy the underwater ocean-themed mural in the kids' room designed and painted by my husband Scott and our daughters Natalie and Olivia, (when they were 11 years old!)

  • Feel cozy & welcome as we offer a space for customers to relax in cozy nooks & connect over books.

 

  • Discover our "Gold Star" books, throughout the store, that are tagged as high-ranking, Amazon top-sellers with a gold star on the binding. If you get in a reading slump, just look for a book in your favorite genre that has a gold star on the binding!

  • We even have lists of customer-voted "Silver Star" books! Look for it hanging on the ends of the bookshelf.
